The Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo “Rosa-ae” is the pink version of the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grape presented by the Torre dei Beati winery. A reference reality in the Pescara area, located in the small and famous enclave of Loreto Aprutino, which every year offers wines of extreme quality and great territorial adherence, produced according to the oldest tradition of the place focused on enhancing local grape varieties. We find ourselves in one of the most important and ancient municipalities of Abruzzo, where the gentle hills meet the peaks of the Apennines and the coastline of the Adriatic Sea. A picture of romantic colors, just like this gentle and graceful version, dressed in pink, created to enhance the fragrance and delicacy of the aromas and flavors of the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grape, paying homage to its great flexibility and ability to present itself in different styles. And then there is the name, “Rosa-ae”, which evokes the fresh notes of dog rose that characterize the bouquet of this rosé with a feminine face.

“Rosa-ae” Cerasuolo is born from some Montepulciano vineyards planted in 1972 and 1995 at about 250 meters above sea level, caressed throughout the year by marine breezes and winds that wind through the mountainous areas. The vines, cultivated according to the principles of organic farming and with the Abruzzese pergola and spurred cordon planting system, sink their roots into a clay-limestone soil. In the winery, this rosé is obtained half by the bleeding technique of the reds, after a short cold pre-maceration, and half by direct pressing of the whole grapes. The vinification takes place exclusively in steel at controlled temperature and the maturation occurs for 6 months always in steel containers.
