The Champagne Brut Grand Cru Mailly from Maison Bérèche et Fils is a label of particular prestige, produced with grapes from the Grand Cru of Mailly, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims area, home to great Pinot Noir. Patiently aged for over 4 years in the aging cellars, it is a Champagne elegant, rich and mature that expresses a wide range, with floral notes, fruity aromas, and evolved tertiary hints of refined finesse. It is a structured and particularly deep Champagne, suitable for tasting at the table during an important dinner.
The Champagne Brut Grand Cru Mailly is produced by a family that has been involved in viticulture in the Ludes area for five generations. Maison Bérèche et Fils manages about ten hectares divided into different parcels, located in the Premier Crus of Ludes, Ormes, and in the Vallée de la Marne area. The vines are cultivated with great respect for the environment, without the use of chemical products or fertilizers. The work in the cellar is inspired by the oldest traditions of Champagne, using wood in winemaking and with long aging in the cellar before disgorgement. The
artisanal care in production allows for the creation of excellent labels, particularly appreciated by enthusiasts and connoisseurs in search of bottles capable of expressing the taste of the terroir.
The Brut Grand Cru Mailly from Maison Bérèche et Fils is a champagne that comes from old vines over 60 years old cultivated on deep, clay-limestone soils, in the Grand Cru territories of Mailly-Champagne, Parcelle les Chalois. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels and the vins clairs rest in wood until the moment of blending. The second fermentation occurs in the bottle according to the Champenoise method, with a sur lattes resting period of 54 months. In the glass, it has a bright golden yellow color with a fine and delicate perlage. The bouquet is particularly complex, with floral aromas, citrus, toasted bread, roasted notes, and hints of roasting. On the palate, it has a good structure, tense and expressive, which anticipates a persistent, fresh, and elegant finish.
