Lugana 'Le Fornaci' Tommasi 2025
The Veneto "Le Fornaci" is a Lugana DOC that tells the story of viticulture around the Veronese shore of Lake Garda. Here, in fact, the Turbiana – the name given to the indigenous Trebbiano di Lugana grape – has ancient origins, which are inextricably linked to the agricultural history of the area. Tommasi, a winery located in Pedemonte in the province of Verona, always connected to its roots in production, gives it a clean and clear expression on the nose, while on the palate the wine flows with the ease that comes from the balance between the different components on the palate. A bottle that has the merit of pleasing those who taste it with more than positive reviews.
“Le Fornaci” is a Lugana that Tommasi produces starting from the use of Trebbiano di Lugana, locally called Turbiana. This variety grows within the vineyard that gives its name to the label, “Le Fornaci,” located in San Martino della Battaglia, within an area characterized by a stratified subsoil, whereclay, silt, and limestone. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The final aging always takes place in steel and lasts for 5 months, after which the wine is ready to be bottled and released for sale.
The Lugana “Le Fornaci” reveals itself to the eye with a golden soul, captivating the sight. The nose moves on a mainly fruity olfactory profile, enriched at the finish by a slightly spicier touch, from which a sensation of vanilla emerges. On the palate, it is light-bodied, enveloping, with a sip characterized by a fresh vein; it closes with a finish marked by a hazelnut aftertaste. A Veneto white signed by Tommasi that makes versatility in the kitchen its strong point, presenting itself as the perfect wine for all seasons.
