Move

MoVe is a young and dynamic winery born from Gabriele's passion for the recovery of the hills of Mondragon, an area of the upper Treviso abandoned since the 1960s. These lands, once used by the family for the cultivation of grapes, figs, and the breeding of cows, have been rediscovered and restored since 2012. MoVe, which stands for Mondragon-Venezia, represents a vital response to the agricultural decline of the area and is part of the DOCG Prosecco Superiore. The landscape surrounding the winery is characterized by steep hills, rich in biodiversity, offering a spectacular view of the city of Venice. The recovery of these lands has not only been an agricultural restoration work but also an opportunity to revitalize an entire area, promoting a model of sustainable and conscious rural tourism.

The work in the vineyard and winery reflects Gabriele's philosophy, focused on artisanal and sustainable agriculture. The vines are planted in calcareous-sedimentary soils, which offer a poor but mineral-rich terrain. Yields are low, averaging rarely exceeding 40 quintals per hectare, ensuring superior quality grapes. Among the cultivated grape varieties are Glera, Verdiso, Bianchetta, and an ancient grape variety called “prosecco malvasia”, which gives the wine a distinctive aroma. The vines, some of which are over 70 years old, are arranged on steep slopes that require meticulous work but contribute to producing wines with a strong and authentic character. MoVe is not just a wine producer, but also a reality that deals with olive growing and other typical local products, such as honey, liqueurs, and preserves.

MoVe goes beyond simple wine production: the project includes an idea of intelligent rural tourism, which combines agricultural tradition with the enhancement of local cultural and environmental heritage. The connection to the territory is also reflected in the products, which range from wine to olive oil, from wild herbs to honey. Gabriele's approach is to create a positive energy that permeates every aspect of agricultural life, carrying forward a model of sustainability that embraces both the well-being of people and that of the territory. The wine produced by MoVe is fresh, aromatic, and of great personality, with a strong connection to the roots and history of Mondragon.
