Vignobles Cheneau

Vignobles Chéneau is a reality among the oldest in Atlantic France, located in the heart of the wine-producing Brittany between the gentle slopes of Mouzillon and Monnières. The history of this estate is indissolubly linked to the territory and to the family that has been safeguarding it for over two centuries and nine generations. Today, Christophe and Maxime Chéneau passionately lead this family legacy, keeping alive the original soul of the estate and bringing Breton wines to the forefront. From the classic Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie to the more modern cuvées like Breizh’Cadet or Breizh Gwin Gwenn, each bottle reflects a balance between authenticity and innovation.

The work in the vineyard of Vignobles Chéneau is focused on respecting the territory and directly controlling every production phase. The grapes, cultivated in the lands of Mouzillon and Monnières, benefit from a rich soil and a microclimate ideal for fully expressing the typicality of the local grape varieties. After harvesting, fermentation occurs slowly and at low temperatures, to preserve the primary aromas of the grapes and achieve a balanced aromatic concentration. The Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie, in particular, they are aged on fine lees, a technique that gives the wine greater complexity and roundness, enriching it with typical briny nuances and a pleasant softness on the palate.

Vignobles Cheneau produces bright, fresh, and territorial wines, all characterized by lightness, harmony, and naturalness, qualities that make them ideal for pairing with seafood dishes, fresh cheeses, and moments of sharing. A family heritage transformed into taste, where every sip tells the story of the encounter between history, savoir-faire, and Breton spirit.
