The Etna Bianco “Lenza di Munti 720 slm”, produced by Cantine Nicosia, emphasizes altitude, one of the elements that characterizes Etna viticulture in an emblematic way. The presence of a volcano over 3,300 meters high in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea creates a unique microclimate, which for centuries has proven perfect for high-quality viticulture. The wine perfectly expresses the character of the terroir, blending aromatic intensity with a mineral freshness that gives a tense and vibrant sip.
“Lenza di Munti 720 slm” Etna Bianco by Nicosia is born in one of the most important and historic wineries of Mongibello. The estate is located near Trecastagni, in the southeastern area of the volcano and consists of numerous plots situated at different altitudes. The management of the vineyards follows the regulations of organic farming, without the use of chemical products. The grapes of Carricante and Catarratto come from vineyards located at an altitude of 720 meters above sea level, on soils made up of volcanic sands, very draining and rich in mineral substances. The cool and sunny climate, characterized by strong temperature fluctuations, favors ripening with excellent aromatic profiles. The harvest takes place manually around mid-October. Before soft pressing, the grapes undergo a cryomaceration lasting 24 hours. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15-18°C. Before proceeding to bottling, the wine ages for a few months in stainless steel tanks.
with ripe fruit, well balanced by a lively freshness and a pleasantly savory finish.
