The Moscato d’Asti “Vite Vecchia” by Ca’ d’Gal originates in Valdivilla di Santo Stefano Belbo in the wide province of Asti. The winery was founded in 1990 thanks to the passion and project of Alessandro Boido, who has managed to treasure the memory and tradition passed down by his father. The journey has been long and characterized by trials and research: only seven years later, in fact, the first bottle of Moscato sees the light, the result of a meticulous attention to detail and a testament to the countless excellent potentials that this land was capable of unleashing. In 2003, Alessandro decided to experiment with a longer aging time in bottle for his Moscato: this vintage will indeed be released for sale only in 2009. Respect for nature and for the stages of maturation and development of the plants and raw materials complete the picture of the winery's working philosophy.

The vineyards of Moscato d’Asti “Vite Vecchia” by Ca’ d’Gal have an average age of 60 years and the plants root in hilly areas with composed of marine sediment, medium-textured with a massive presence of sand; the exposure is to the south of the Piemonte region, in the heart of the Langhe, not far from Alba, ideal for the grapes to reach perfect ripeness. The climate is characterized by harsh winters, significant rainfall especially in spring and autumn; summer is hot with humidity and drought. The harvest is manual and usually takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October; in the winery, a soft pressing occurs to extract the aromatic parts of the grape and subsequently alcoholic fermentation in autoclave thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts; it ages for 36 months in bottle in wooden crates positioned in the sand.To the eye, the Moscato d’Asti “Vite Vecchia” by Ca’ d’Gal presents a straw yellow with golden hues and brilliant reflections; on the nose, the bouquet of aromas is broad and complex, reminiscent of acacia honey, sage, mint, and a pleasant citrus finish. On the palate, it is elegant, enveloping and
