Rosato 'Nasciolo' Annesanti 2025
“Nasciolo” by Annesanti announces itself with a calling card where freshness boldly presents itself. The Barbera vinified in pink is one of the many positive finds of Francesco Annesanti, a young Umbrian winemaker who manages with this label to make us a little happier after tiring days. The processing only in steel enhances a drinkability that is at times disarming, so much so that the bottle finishes almost without noticing, also thanks to the pleasant savory trail that accompanies the sip.
“Nasciolo” is a wine that comes from a grape variety that, although not being among the most representative of Umbrian viticulture, is cultivated in various parts of the region, the Barbera. Annesanti cultivates this variety in the Valnerina area using the archetto and guyot systems, in parcels exposed to the southeast, characterized by a silty and clayey subsoil. The must ferments spontaneously, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, in stainless steel tanks where the temperature is kept constant. The final aging lasts a few months and always takes place in stainless steel tanks. At the end of this short period, the wine is ready to be bottled and marketed.
The rosé "Nasciolo" reveals itself with a very light, soft, and transparent pink color. Refreshing is the ensemble of aromas that wafts to the nose, telling notes where small red fruits fit into a more floral context. On the palate, it is light-bodied, slender, and pleasant, with a sip characterized by a savory vein and a fruity imprint. A label where the excellent quality-price ratio is evident, and which pairs well at the table, where it goes with various recipes and preparations: try it with pizza and you won’t regret it.
