Bonville Franck
Franck Bonville is a family-run Recoltant Manipulant (RM) business in the prestigious French wine region of Champagne. Currently at the helm of the Maison is the fourth generation, represented by Olivier Bonville who, after obtaining his degree in Oenology in Reims and gaining experience in various establishments in Corsica and Germany, rejoined his family business. Waiting for him were his parents, Gilles and Ingrid, who gladly accepted his innovative spirit and the consequent revolutions in the cellar and vineyard, leading to asustainable agriculture that respects the surrounding environment.
The Frank Bonville Champagne Maison spans 20 hectares of vineyards divided into 77 different parcels located in three municipalities classified as Grand Cru: Avize, Oger, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. A place that has become a cult for the production of Chardonnay, the only white grape variety of Champagne, which is aptly nicknamed Côte de Blancs. This grape, which Franck Bonville masterfully interprets, expresses all the elegance and the refinement of this area, characterized by a subsoil rich in gypsum that imparts savory and fresh nuances to the final glass. The cultivation of the vineyard adheres to the principles established by the “HVE” (Haute Valeur Environnementale) regulations and commits to not using herbicides and insecticides while preserving the biodiversity of the flora and fauna naturally present among the rows.
The vignerons of Maison Franck Bonville have long been committed to offering labels of great depth and personality, reflecting the exceptional terroir that they are fortunate and privileged to inhabit and cultivate personally. Since 1970, Gilles Bonville, with the support of his wife Ingrid, has replaced the old oak barrels with small stainless steel tanks to achieve a greater degree of precision during vinification. Today, his son Olivier, fully respecting the family tradition, carries on his deep passion for vineyard culture with greater respect and sensitivity, in order to convey all the authentic magic of the Champagne, bubble after bubble.
