Monsignore

Just a few kilometers from Mondovì and about fifty from Alba, Savona, and the mountainous areas of Monviso, lies a borderland of unique charm: an unexplored Langa, suspended between Mediterranean climate and mountain altitude, at 600 meters above sea level. In this setting, the story of the Blengini family comes to life, who since 1916 have preserved an ancient summer residence built by the Bishop of Mondovì, Michele Casati. Today Giuseppe Blengini and his wife Roberta, heir to a historic Piedmontese family, have transformed this place into an innovative project dedicated to Alta Langa, the noblest expression of Piedmontese sparkling wine. The goal is clear: to enhance a territory still little known, but rich in potential, bringing it back to the center of the national wine scene through a production that combines identity and pioneering spirit.

This allows for the production of grapes with different characteristics, harmonizing the tannic nuances with the natural elegance of the local grapes.

The result of this vision is Monsignore, an Alta Langa Extra Brut aged for 36 months on the lees, obtained from a blend of equal parts of Pinot Nero and Chardonnay vinified separately. The wine stands out for its fine and persistent bubbles, clear and elegant aromas, with herbaceous notes that evoke the territory and a creamy, enveloping palate. The owners' passion for art is reflected in the label signed by the artist Francesco Clemente, who chose a Spartan helmet as a symbol of courage, loyalty, and power: a wish for the
