Podere della Torre

Podere della Torre winery was born in Spoltore, in the Pescara countryside, as a family project dedicated to enhancing Montepulciano and other identity varieties of the territory. The history of the company is rooted in the Abruzzese peasant tradition, made of manual labor and direct knowledge of the land. The hills overlooking the Adriatic, influenced by the temperature fluctuations of the Apennines, offer ideal conditions for viticulture focused on quality. Podere della Torre interprets this heritage with a production that aims for authenticity, balance, and recognizability.

Podere della Torre's vineyard philosophy is based on respect for organic certification. The management of the vineyards avoids the use of synthetic pesticides, preferring sustainable methods that respect the soil ecosystem and preserve its fertility. This ensures that every agronomic intervention, from pruning to soil work, is designed to stimulate biodiversity and promote plant vitality. The goal is to obtain healthy vines and balanced plants that can mature optimally without external forcing. Finally, the typical ventilation of the hills of Spoltore and the temperature variation between day and night create optimal conditions that favor the aromatic concentration in the grapes, producing more complex and expressive wines.

Even in the winery, Podere della Torre maintains a farming approach consistent with the work done in the vineyard. The grapes are destemmed and subjected to calibrated macerations, while the fermentations take place with indigenous yeasts to preserve the expressiveness of the terroir. The aging involves a measured use of wood that supports the structure without covering the fruit, thus ensuring the recognizability of the grape varieties. The wines express structure, freshness, and aromatic depth through a harmonious profile, capable of offering pleasantness in youth but also suitable for aging. Perfect for accompanying the most characteristic Abruzzese cuisine.
