Tenuta Magrini
Tenuta Magrini is a wine estate in Piemonte skilled at interpreting the territory of Monferrato, recognized in 2014 as a UNESCO World Heritage site for the beauty of its landscapes and the historical-cultural importance of its vineyards, embracing a sustainable and genuine production vision. The winery is located precisely in Grazzano Badoglio, a hilly area of Basso Monferrato where the couple Maura and Massimiliano started the business in 2022 after purchasing an ancient farmhouse with attached woods and vineyards. The presence of the woods surrounding the estate enhances the temperature variation between day and night, ideal for the optimal ripening of the grapes, also favoring biodiversity, evidenced by the habitual presence of hares, badgers, and deer wandering among the vines. Regarding the winery's logo, it depicts a wine glass viewed from above, illustrated in a modern and effective style.
The vineyards are situated on hilly land characterized by a full southern exposure, mainly composed of limestone and marls. The altitude is around 350 meters above sea level while the agronomic and oenological management is enhanced by organic certification. Following the manual harvest, various fermentations take place spontaneously in stainless steel tanks. For the subsequent maturation phase, containers made of steel or oak barriques are always used, depending on the wine in question. The wines are finally bottled without undergoing any clarification or filtration processes and with low doses of added sulfites. Furthermore, lighter bottles, with a low environmental impact, and corks made from sustainable raw materials, 100% recyclable, are used for packaging.
The range of labels from Tenuta Magrini reveals various expressions of Barbera, offered in a fresh and juicy style with Barbera d’Asti ‘Millecolli’, in a structured and deep style with Barbera d’Asti Superiore ‘Madonna dei Monti’, and even in a refreshing Rosé version.
