Tenuta Santodeno
Among the gentle hills of Romagna, in the heart of the Bidente Valley, Tenuta Santodeno was born, a winery that has its roots in 1929. For almost a century, the winery has represented one of the most authentic expressions of hillside viticulture, perfectly integrating into the rich regional enological mosaic. In this particularly suited corner of the region, the climatic and environmental conditions offer an ideal habitat for the vine, making Santodeno a significant voice in the landscape of Italian territorial wines.
The production philosophy of Tenuta Santodeno is based on respect for the territory and attention to every phase of cultivation and winemaking. The vineyards are strategically located, where the temperature excursions between day and night, excellent ventilation, and perfect soil drainage ensure a natural balance for the grapes. The hilly soils, generous and well-exposed, allow for concentrated fruits rich in aromas. Here, symbolic grape varieties of the area are cultivated, particularly Sangiovese, which is interpreted in two distinct styles: as Traditional Superiore and in the more modern version from dried grapes. To complete the offering, a Riesling of great freshness and character, capable of surprising even the most demanding palates.
The wines of Tenuta Santodeno tell a story of passion, research, and connection to the land. The Sangiovese Superiore, elegant and harmonious, represents Romagna's tradition in its purest form. The Appassimento, on the other hand, comes from a careful selection of grapes left to dry to concentrate their aromas and structure, offering an intense and enveloping red. Finally, the Riesling completes the triptych with its fresh and mineral soul, a testament to the versatility of the terroir. Each bottle is the result of a long experience and a vision looking to the future, maintaining a strong identity and quality.
