Cesari

The Veronese wine producer Cesari has established itself over its nearly 100 years of history as an important and extensive winery in Valpolicella, among the first to export its Amarone to five continents. We are in Fumane, in the heart of the classic Valpolicella area, where in 1936 Gerardo Cesari officially founded the estate. In fact, Gerardo started the winemaking activity in the municipality of Cavaion Veronese, which is now home to the historic winery with the barrel cellar, alongside the facilities in Fumane where the drying process of the grapes destined for Amarone takes place. In the early '60s, Franco, Gerardo's son, joined the estate, significantly contributing to the national and international recognition of the family wines. What has always characterized the production philosophy of the Cesari family is the desire to combine tradition and innovation, elements that contribute to the production of labels of the highest quality.

Within the 130 hectares of owned vineyards, the Cesari winery cultivates the traditional varieties of the Valpolicella and Lugana areas, such as Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, Negrara, Rossignola, and Turbiana, associated with the presence of the international grape variety Chardonnay. The rows are distributed over four different estates: Bosan, with its predominantly silty and clayey soils, sometimes calcareous-alluvial; Il Bosco, characterized by red limestone soils with marly sediments; Cento Filari, an estate dedicated to the production of Lugana, dominated by soils of morainic origin; and Jèma, with its morainic-alluvial soils, formed by a kaolin layer resting on a second layer of pebbles and stones. In general, the winemaking process is based on temperature-controlled fermentations in stainless steel tanks and subsequent aging always in steel containers or in oak barrels of different capacities and types, depending on the label in question.

The emblem of the Cesari winery's production is the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, available in different versions that reflect the consolidated experience of the estate in the winemaking field
