Capannelle
Today, the vineyard property of Capannelle extends over a total of 35 hectares, of which 16 are planted with the traditional varieties Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera, in addition to the international grape Chardonnay. The agronomic management is inspired by the principles of organic farming, while in the winery the vinifications mostly take place in Slavonian oak truncated conical tanks or in stainless steel tanks. For the maturation phase, French oak barriques or the same Slavonian oak truncated conical tanks are adopted.
The bottles signed Capannelle are configured as modern yet at the same time typical of the Chianti territory, particularly the area of Gaiole in Chianti. These are packaged with labels designed by the renowned designer and graphic artist Massimo Vignelli, unfortunately passed away in 2014, just after restyling.
