Corte Giara
The wine brand Corte Giara, owned by the famous Allegrini winery, was created to offer fresh, youthful, and fruity interpretations of the great wine regions of Veneto, such as Valpolicella, Soave, and Bardolino. This innovative project was born in 1989 from an initiative by the Allegrini family and a selected group of winemakers, with the aim of proposing a range of labels with a more immediate style, easy for consumers to approach and suitable for convivial moments. To ensure high quality wines, the Allegrini family directly manages and supervises the vineyard park, paying great attention to working exclusively with grapes at the perfect stage of ripeness. The name Corte Giara is inspired by the rural courtyard of Fumane where the Allegrini family has lived for several generations and which today represents the center of production activities.
Through the Corte Giara brand, the Allegrini family works with native grape varieties from the Valpolicella and Soave regions such as Corvina Veronese, Rondinella, Molinara, and Garganega, but also popular international varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot, and Pinot Grigio. The plants grow on the hilly soils of the areas of Lake Garda, Valpolicella, and Soave, respectively characterized by morainic soils, soils with a high limestone content, and volcanic soils. The harvest is carried out entirely by hand, and only temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks are used as fermentation containers. The subsequent aging phase can take place either in steel or in barriques and Slavonian oak barrels, depending on the wine in question.
The bottles of Corte Giara stand out for their modern and accessible style, not lacking in quality, designed for everyday consumption. These are balanced wines capable of engaging a broad audience, from simple novices to more experienced and demanding palates. The selection includes prestigious labels such as Amarone della Valpolicella 'La Groletta' or Recioto della Valpolicella, as well as more immediate and refreshing wines like Bardolino or Chiaretto di Bardolino, ideal for carefree occasions.
