Founded in 1869, the domaine is now led by Jean-Marie and Damien, who have inherited and renewed a family tradition of over a century. Nevy-sur-Seille, home to the winery, is a charming village located in an area with a strong wine identity, famous for the production of characteristic wines such as those from the Château-Chalon and Côtes du Jura denominations. Since 2004, the family has undertaken the conversion to biodynamics, completed in 2015, and since 2016 all wines bear the organic certification, a testament to a philosophy that combines tradition, sustainability, and attention to biodiversity.
Domaine Courbet is now known for its production linked to the emblematic grape varieties of the Jura, with particular attention to oxidative wines and Savagnin, the base of the famous Vin Jaune.
