Vincent Brochet
Vincent Brochet is a family Maison that produces artisanal Champagnes of excellent quality in Écueil, in the north-eastern area of the Montagne de Reims. It is a historical reality, present in the territory since as far back as 1721. The domaine consists of 14 high-quality parcels, cultivated in the municipal territories of three villages classified as Premier Cru in the Montagne de Reims. The vines of Écueil are cultivated on calcareous-clay soils, which rest on a deep gypsum substrate. 80% of the area is dedicated to Pinot Noir, 15% to Chardonnay, and 5% to Meunier. The Pinot Noir vineyards of Sacy are divided into two parcels: “Les Crétieux” and “Les Croix”, cultivated on sandy soils, resting on deep layers of gypsum. The parcel of Villers-aux-Nœuds is planted with Pinot Noir on silt and gypsum soils.
The domaine is managed with great attention to the environment, to promote the natural vegetative and productive balance of the plants. No herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic chemical products are used in the vineyard.and the company is certified with the recognition of Haute Valeur Environnementale and Viticulture Durable en Champagne. The production of Vincent Brochet Champagnes comes from grapes of the highest quality, which are harvested at full ripeness and then carefully checked before being sent for vinification. The fermentations take place spontaneously, using only indigenous yeasts, and malolactic fermentation is not carried out, in order to maintain freshness. The base wines age in French oak barriques of 228 liters, made with wood sourced from the Montagne de Reims.
The choice to vinify each vineyard separately allows the Maison to have a wide range of vins clairs available to create the blends, along with the possibility of using reserve wines from previous vintages. Vincent Brochet Champagnes perfectly interpret the character of the Montagne de Reims territory, with a prevalence of Pinot Noir, which gives the cuvées remarkable structure and freshness.
