De Andrés Sisters

De Andrés Sisters is an innovative Spanish winery created by Ruth and Ana de Andrés. It is a unique reality in its kind, which proposes an original approach to the concept of terroir. Usually, we are used to linking this idea to a winemaker strongly rooted in a place, who knows the history, customs, soils, climate very well and is able to interpret them faithfully and transfer them into the wine with immediacy and expressive transparency. Ruth and Ana, on the other hand, have introduced a dynamic and nomadic concept of terroir. The two enterprising sisters love to travel, discover territories and wines, talk to small producers and then compare their experiences with the market, distributors, enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and industry professionals. They are a true bridge between the two worlds and know how to perfectly interpret their needs and tastes.

At the center of the project are the two sisters. Ruth de Andrés obtained a degree in Chemistry from the University of Oviedo, then a degree in Oenology from the University of Valladolid and continued her training with postgraduate courses at the universities of Bordeaux and Barcelona. Alongside her university education, Ruth combines extraordinary sensory skills that make her a refined taster and a sensitive interpreter of the territories and grape varieties. A rare gift, which she has been able to refine over time. Ana de Andres graduated in Psychology from the University of Salamanca and in Labor Sciences, completing her academic journey in Finland at the University of Turku and in the United States at the University of Green Bay. Within the company, she holds the role of Project Manager and has always brought enthusiasm and passion to her work, combined with an extraordinary tenacity.

Thanks to a deep knowledge of the main Spanish denominations and many small local producers, the two sisters are able to select and propose to the public excellent wines that come from the main areas of the country: Alicante, Catalonia, Gredos, Rías Baixas, Rioja, and Rueda.  Unique terroirs, capable of producing excellent wines that cover all possible demands of consumers interested in Spanish wines, from the Metodo Classico Cava, to whites to great reds. A wide and varied range of offerings, which share the value of uncompromising quality.
