Roblin Matthias Et Emile

Roblin is a small family Domaine that has its historical and productive roots in the prestigious wine-growing area of Sancerre, in the Eastern Loire Valley. Today, it is the vigneron brothers Matthias and Emile who represent this productive reality, with a young and innovative entrepreneurial spirit. Deeply in love with this terroir of exceptional choice, since the early 2000s they have taken over the family business, representing the fourth generation of winemakers.

Since Matthias and Emile reunited at Domaine Roblin, they have primarily invested in vineyard work, resorting to so-called “raisonnée” agriculture, which cares about respecting the naturalness of the land. The 19 hectares of vineyard spread between Maimbray and Sury-en-Vaux across about forty parcels differing in soil morphology and microclimate are mostly left unplanted to give vigor and liveliness to the soils and to maintain the natural biodiversity among the rows. For this reason, the use of insecticides and chemical pesticides has been completely eliminated.completely eliminated the use of chemical insecticides and pesticides.

Domaine Roblin is known for producing typical and genuine wines from the Sancerre appellation, starting from Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes, vinified essentially in temperature-controlled steel tanks to fully enhance the natural characteristics of the grapes and especially of the terroir. The ancient soils on which the Roblin vineyards rest date back to the Kimmeridgian geological period, are rich in clay and limestone, but above all in marine fossil residues that can still be touched in the vineyard today. Thanks to these specific and unique morphological characteristics, Roblin wines are universally recognized for their mineral strength and savory push, which enliven the glass sip after sip.
