Savart Frederic
Frederic Savart is a talented and passionate winemaker who produces extraordinary Champagne near the small villages of Ecueil and Villers-aux-Noedus, on the northwest slope of the Montagne de Reims. Frederic, a great admirer of Burgundy and Piedmontese wines, is the last heir of the maison founded at the end of World War II by his grandfather René, and later passed on in the 1970s to his father Daniel, who was already distinguished at the time for the unique bottle he produced, the Brut Selection. Today, Frederic manages 6 hectares in total classified as Premier Cru divided between Pinot Noir (4 hectares) and Chardonnay (2 hectares). However, what the winery has never abandoned is the continuous pursuit of the highest quality, starting, as F. Savart says, from the selection of the best grapes. Thus, an artisanal system has been adopted in the vineyard, favoring manual work, low yields, and the expressiveness of the land. The old vines produce qualitatively perfect clusters, rich in flavors and power and finesse, freshness and roundness, drinkability and structure, as few other Champagne can do!
