Inama
The Inama winery is one of the most interesting realities in Veneto. For over fifty years, it has cultivated vineyards and produced wines in some of the most suitable areas of the region. Today, the third generation of the family, represented by Alessio and Luca, has taken over the management of the company with a spirit focused on safeguarding a heritage of knowledge and savoir-faire, which allows the production of high-quality wines, capable of faithfully interpreting the places of production. The origins of the estate date back to 1948, with the purchase of the first vineyard on Monte Foscarino, in the classic Soave area. After many years of experience with white grape varieties, in 1996 Inama decided to expand its activities by acquiring an estate in the Monti Berici area, intended for the production of red wines.
The historical core of the company is still located in the lands of Soave, where it all began. The hilly area east of the city of Verona has been famous for its wines since the times of the ancient Romans, thanks to beautiful hilly exposures, a mild and breezy climate, and soils of ancient volcanic origin, predominantly composed of lava basalt and tuff, which rest on substrates of limestone and sandstone. Today, the Soave property extends over 30 hectares, with parcels located in some of the most suitable areas of the classic region. Here reigns one of the oldest white grape varieties in our ampelographic heritage: Garganega. A generous high-quality grape variety, which recent DNA analyses have shown to be a biotic of the Grecanico dorato found in Sicily and particularly in some old bush-trained vineyards of Etna.
The estate of Colli Berici is located in the southern area of the province of Vicenza, in a wonderful region characterized by gentle hilly reliefs. The climate is particularly mild and sunny. The soils, composed of clay and silt, rich in iron oxide, have been generated and brought to the surface by an ancient bradyseismic activity. The particular pedoclimatic conditions have proven perfect for the cultivation
