Piccini

Piccini is a family-run business among the most important in all of Italy at a commercial level, owner of several established brands scattered throughout the Peninsula. The core of the Piccini family's activity, active since 1882 in the wine sector, is the brand Piccini 1882, a key player in Chianti production. The historic headquarters located in Castellina in Chianti, in the Chianti Classico area, was joined in 2020 by a new modern winery, located near Casole d’Elsa, west of the city of Siena. Today, the fourth and fifth generations of the Piccini family lead the business, skilled in pursuing the entrepreneurial spirit that has always characterized the family members, an essential element in the brand's affirmation at both national and international levels. Over the years, the Piccini family has indeed constantly committed to expanding the vineyard area, acquiring new properties, and modernizing technology in agronomic and enological fields, all to meet the expectations of their customers. Today, among the brands owned by the Piccini family are Fattoria di Valiano, Tenuta Moraia, Villa al Cortile, Torre Mora and Regio Cantina, in addition to the already mentioned Piccini 1882.

Within its extensive vineyard property, managed inspired by the principles of organic farming, the Piccini family cultivates both traditional Tuscan varieties, such as Sangiovese, Malvasia Nera, Vermentino, and Malvasia, as well as international grape varieties, such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Syrah. The materials used during the winemaking and aging phases are also quite varied and include stainless steel tanks, cement vats, terracotta amphorae, and wooden barrels of different capacities and types. The choice of wine container is always adapted to the characteristics of the grape and the enological goal.

Today, the Piccini produce over 16 million bottles a year, exported to every corner of the globe as ambassadors of Tuscanity and, more generally, of Italianity.
